Our winery is committed to following ecological practices that reduce the use of energy and waste to protect the planets precious ecosystem.

UNI EN ISO 9001:2015 ensures consistently high quality wines, environmental protection, health and safety, social responsibility and energy management.
Our Winery does not use herbicides and chemical fertilizers. They have implemented an integrated control technique to eliminate the use of chemical substances. Alternative practices have been put into practice at our vineyard to maintain biodiversity. Grassing is used to protect beneficial insects, guarantee the life of microfauna and to create a refuge for rabbits and squirrels.
A solar panel system on the corporate roof of our winery reduces CO2 emissions and produces clean energy from renewable sources. For energy savings, our winery uses thermal insulation with the wine vessels. We also employ a wastewater treatment plant to reduce our environmental impact.
At SYLTBAR we are committed to recycling and reducing waste. That's why we use 100% recyclable cork stoppers on all our bottles. Our wine cases & shipping boxes are also 100% recyclable and we use a minimal amount of PE plastics when shipping our orders.
Part of adhering to our eco-conscious principles is ensuring we conserve water wherever possible. In all our daily operations we limit the use of water and only use it with necessary operations. Even during dry years our vineyard does not require irrigation. We also employ a biological wastewater purification system. This saves energy and reduce our environmental impact.
