FAQs
Yes! All SYLTBAR wines are vegan. Our wines stay in the tank long enough to self-stabilize through the slow sedimentation of particles. We don’t use any egg whites, gelatin or fish bladders during the production process.
Yes! SYLTBAR is low-carb friendly because it contains minimal sugar, no added sugars and uses a natural fermentation process that converts most of the grape sugars into alcohol. This leaves very few carbs, no more than 20 grams in the whole bottle.
Yes! You absolutely can! The Keto diet is a very low-carb, high-fat diet and is restricted to be under 20 grams of carbs a day.
Our wines have Bios Organic Certification. On the back label of each SYLTBAR bottle, you will find the Green Project symbol, which is one step above Organic. This refers to a set of actions, behaviors and procedures that have been put forward to contribute to environmental sustainability of our business, which starts with the soil. Even the water used doesn’t include any metals such as copper or lead. To learn more about how we go beyond organic visit our sustainability page.
Other wines have more sulfites to preserve freshness during mass production and long-term storage, which can lead to headaches and hangovers.
In 2014, former Director Professor Dr. Camillo Ricordi of the Diabetes Research Institute at the University of Miami, tested SYLTBAR Premium Prosecco and Sparkling Rosé against 80 other leading brands. The study measured glucose levels in sparkling wines to determine their sugar content. Click here to learn more and see the sugar comparisons.
Total calories are calculated based on glucose levels per 6 oz serving and not by scientific testing.

Yes, there are only 66ppm sulfites in a 6 oz glass (compared to an average of 140ppm).
Yes, SYLTBAR is considered a diet wine because it has the lowest sugar content compared to other leading brands, as confirmed by testing conducted by the Diabetes Research Institute at the University of Miami. However, SYLTBAR is not your average "diet wine" because our traditional & pure wine-making methods create delicious and flavorful wines naturally. This is why SYLTBAR is a healthier choice for those looking to reduce sugar and calorie intake without compromising on quality or taste.
Yes, the 4-month secondary fermentation allows only natural fruit sugars to remain, giving our wine superior flavor. Many brands shorten this process to reduce production costs and then they add sugar or sweeteners to enhance taste.
Per serving our Mr and Mrs are 2 WW (weight watchers) points!
SYLTBAR was established in 2010 to introduce truly 100% natural wine to the US. Unlike many other wines that often contain chemicals like Roundup, sulfites and high sugar levels. SYLTBAR offers a high-quality wine with very low sugar, minimal sulfites and no chemicals. SYLTBAR provides a healthier, more natural choice for wine-lovers, perfect for any occasion, while also supporting sustainability.
Claus and Regina (who are originally from Germany) first discovered their special Prosecco on the island of Sylt in Germany. Since the island is so meaningful to them, they decided to make it their brand name and add the word "bar" to the end, denoting a place where drinks are served. The name SLYTBAR which is pronounced 'zooltbar' reflects a sense of elegance, exclusivity and quality. The logo on SYLTBAR bottles is the shape of Sylt island.
SYLTBAR Prosecco is made from 100% Glera grapes, even though Italian law requires only 85% Glera to qualify as Prosecco. Our Sparkling Rosé is uniquely made from 100% Merlot grapes, the only one of its kind in the US. If you see a Prosecco Rosé, it means it’s a blend of 85% Glera with 15% red wine grapes. For us, it doesn’t make sense to mix white and red grapes just to call it Prosecco. We prioritize values over marketing, using only 100% of our chosen grape variety.
SYLTBAR wines are produced at our natural winery in Friuli, Italy which is very close to Venice.

Other companies add sugar to balance acidity, enhance fruitiness, or increase alcohol content, making wines sweeter and more appealing. However, this also raises calorie content. SYLTBAR is fruity, not sweet, because of the long fermentation process. To learn more about mass produced wines visit our Tricky Wine Industry Page.
Yes, of course! You can also include a message and we will handwrite it for your gift. Please note that when sending alcohol, someone over 21 must be present to sign for the package.
