Taste of uber-chic Sylt comes to Palm Beach’s Amici Market (Aug 2011)

The other day, while I was picking up some lunch to take back to the office at Amici Market, owner Maurizio Ciminella told me about a new collection of products he just started carrying exclusively on the island.

The sea salt, pepper, prosecco, carbonated fruit drinks and sleek wine coolers all came from Syltbar, he said.

“This is great stuff,” he told me.

“Syltbar has unique, authentic products,” said Ciminella. “And their sodas are the ones I grew up with in Italy.”

“You have to meet this woman who distributes out of Miami,” he said, handing me some literature and giving me the e-mail address for Regina Blohm of Syltbar.

And so I got in touch with Ms. Blohm, and we arranged to meet at the Amici Market a few days later.
