While peaches are the star of the original Bellini creation, there have been many variations of this traditional cocktail that use other fresh fruit — like strawberries.
Meet the Fragola Bellini, a bubbly twist on a classic! “Fragola” means strawberry in Italian. Made with sweet, homemade strawberry purée and topped with crisp Mr SYLTBAR Premium Brut Prosecco, this cocktail tastes like sunshine in a glass — which is very much welcomed now that the sun goes down much earlier due to Daylight Savings.
The fresh strawberry purée brings a burst of juicy sweetness that pairs perfectly with the light, sparkling Prosecco bubbles. We much prefer making our own strawberry puree rather than purchasing an overly sweetened syrup or puree. This allows the flavor of the fruit to shine through without unnecessary calories or sugars.
Perfect for brunches, garden parties, or any time you need a bit of effervescence in your day. Garnish with a fresh strawberry or a sprig of mint for an extra touch of charm!
Ingredients
-
5 oz. Mr SYLTBAR
1 oz. homemade strawberry puree*
Optional garnish: strawberries, mint
Directions
Pour strawberry puree into a white wine glass.
Top with Mr SYLTBAR
Add fresh strawberries to the drink or garnish with one hulled strawberry on the rim of the glass and a sprig of mint.
Recipe Note
*To make a homemade puree, add fresh strawberries to a food processor or blender and blend until smooth. Frozen strawberries (thawed) work fine here too. Just make sure to check the ingredient list and look for a brand that does not add any extra sugar or sweeteners.
