Celebrate Winter in Florida with SYLTBAR! Living in South Florida means we don’t see snow during the holidays like other parts of the world do. Instead, we live with tropical sunshine surrounding us all year round. And that’s exactly what this cocktail brings to the table. It’s a sparkling sip of sunshine that brings the tropics to your holiday celebrations.
This bubbly cocktail we’ve aptly named Winter in Florida blends the crisp effervescence of Prosecco with creamy coconut vodka, tangy pineapple juice, and a zesty splash of lime. A hint of simple syrup and bitters adds the perfect balance, creating a refreshing, tropical twist that feels like sunshine in a snow globe.
We like to stress the importance of making your own simple syrup at home. It’s as easy as it gets and it makes all the difference in a cocktail. Store-bought versions often contain preservatives or additives, while homemade simple syrup is pure, fresh, and customizable.
The same goes for the lime juice. Fresh is always best! Bottled lime juice may be convenient, but it often lacks the bright, vibrant flavor that freshly squeezed lime provides. Plus, it can taste overly processed or acidic. Squeezing limes at home ensures the cocktail shines with zesty, natural citrus flavor that balances the sweetness of the pineapple juice and simple syrup. Trust us—those few extra seconds with a juicer will elevate Winter in Florida from good to unforgettable.
Whether you're dreaming of warm beaches or toasting by a twinkling tree, our Winter in Florida cocktail is your ticket to a festive escape—where every sip is a little holiday getaway. Cheers to bubbles, brightness, and the best of both worlds!

Recipe Note
*To make your own simple syrup, you’ll need 1 cup of sugar and 1 cup of water. Add to a small saucepan over medium heat, and stir until the sugar dissolves, then bring to a gentle simmer. Reduce heat and let it simmer for 10 minutes.Want a little twist? Add a vanilla bean or coconut flakes while simmering for subtle, layered flavors that perfectly complement this drink's tropical notes. Remove from heat and cool completely. Strain out the solids (if applicable). The syrup can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for up to two weeks.
